This is something I meant to bring up at the AGM but I slept in

due to being very drunk. Where a game is disputed for whatever reason, the idea that the ref's decision is final is not always satisfactory, especially when the ref says he wasn't watching. If there was a standard sheet that had to be completed
prior to the start of the next frame, and only by the captain, explaining why the game is disputed, and presented to the opposing captain before the next frame starts, then this could be brought up at the next meeting and voted on. It might be caused by a lack of clarification of an obscure EPA rule perhaps. I did design a sheet that could be used for this purpose and could provide it again if the league wanted to go with this idea. It has certain advantages, one would be that it could avoid unpleasantness on the night, and another is that the league can do something about it, if the same teams are having disputed frames every week or at every meeting. Last year when I suggested this after two marathon disputes dragged on for months, Dave B said the league rules couldn't be changed except by in an AGM or in an 'extraordinary' meeting. Well maybe, but if we get a similar problem with this year perhaps we can consider this option....Frankie Monk
